1151進階人機互動(Advanced Human-Robot Interaction)
This class deals with advanced methods in Human-Robot Interaction, especially closed-loop interaction and research techniques. It
includes the implementation of a real-world project using on a social robot.
The class is held in English based on the the textbook by Bartneck et al. (free PDF download, Chinese version (print only)). A large part of the class consists of practical
work like writing a
proposal for an interactive robot user study, implementing these interactions on a real robot with a
presentation/demo, as well as conducting a user study on it.
Preconditions:
- intermediate English, you need to give a presentation and write a scientific paper in English
- good Python programming skills
- This course is Linux-only, preferably Ubuntu - no
support for Windows or MacOS. Previous experience shows that most likely
some things won’t work especially under Windows, also under WSL, and
you might lose a lot of time this way.
