The intergalactic medium (IGM) contains most of normal matter in the universe and is fundamentally important in cosmology, galaxy formation, and galaxy evolution. This course provides an introduction to observations and physical properties of the IGM, topics include the intracluster medium & cluster physics/cosmology, lyman alpha clouds & other quasar absorbers, missing baryons. reionisation & cosmic history, and AGN feedback & galaxies in clusters.
