1122 Higher Education Leadership & Student Development
This
course is designed to provide a comprehensive examination of today’s
postsecondary and college students’ demographics, collegiate experiences, and
labor-market outcomes in light of theories, perspectives, and research. Topics
include college choices, outreach programs, student development and learning,
enrollment management, diversity, campus climate, college persistence and
graduation, and labor-market outcomes. Students who enroll in this course would
have the opportunity to apply theories and perspectives by conducting
interviews and examining a comprehensive secondary database.
